JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, a leading law firm in Alabama, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical and Billing Records Specialist. The successful candidate will assist with various tasks related to medical and billing records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education:
  • Relevant degree or certification in medical billing, legal studies, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in medical billing, legal support, or a related role is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and legal documentation.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, billing software).
  • Other Requirements:
  • Must be based in Latin America.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is essential.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.

Responsibilities:

  • Medical and Billing Records Requests:
  • Process requests for medical and billing records in accordance with release authorizations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate retrieval of necessary documentation.
  • Medical and Billing Summaries:
  • Prepare comprehensive summaries of medical and billing records for review.
  • Ensure summaries are clear, concise, and accurately reflect the records.
  • Letters of Representation:
  • Draft and send letters of representation to insurance companies and other relevant parties.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication on behalf of the law firm.
  • Calendar Management:
  • Assist in managing the legal calendar, including scheduling appointments, hearings, and deadlines.
  • Ensure all events are accurately documented and communicated to relevant parties.
