Description:

MEDICAL SCIENCE LIAISON – NEW POSITION – OBESITY TREATMENT

IQVIA’s international talent acquisition team is currently recruiting for a brand-new MSL position in Norway on behalf of our client. We are looking for individuals who have expertise in endocrinology, anti-obesity, or cardio-metabolic therapy areas with one of the following profiles:

  • Key Account Manager (or other sales focused role) in the Norwegian pharma industry with strong scientific acumen who aspires to become an MSL; or
  • Current MSL in Norway.

Working alongside colleagues based in other Nordic countries, this autonomous role covering key centres across Norway is part of a multi-country expansion, aligned with the launch of a new anti-obesity product in selected EU markets, for a medication which is currently the number one branded, oral, prescribed weight management treatment for adults in the US (as a complement to healthy diet and exercise).
Whether you come from a field medical or commercial background, you will have outstanding engagement skills, with the proven ability to conduct in depth scientific discussions with relevant stakeholders to present clinical data in an impactful, compelling manner.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Master’s Degree, PhD (or equivalent) in a Life Sciences subject (e.g., Pharmacy, Medical, Public Health, Biological Sciences).
  • Must have experience in the pharmaceutical industry in Norway within endocrinology, anti-obesity, or cardio-metabolic therapy areas
  • Existing connections with clinicians in the anti-obesity or cardio-metabolic therapy area (GLP-1 or other anti-obesity products ideally)
  • Strong scientific capabilities, with the ability to uncover and understand stakeholder needs, and convey complex information in a compelling, impactful manner
  • Resilience, tenacity, and collaborative mindset are essential
  • Must have fluent Norwegian language skills; strong English skills also required
  • A drivers license is required, with willingness to travel throughout Norway as needed.
Please note unfortunately sponsorship will not be available for this role.
The successful applicant will be invited to start work as soon as they are available to do so, and will receive a competitive basic salary, bonus, and comprehensive benefits package.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
At IQVIA, we believe in pushing the boundaries of human science and data science to make the biggest impact possible – to help our customers create a healthier world.
