We have an amazing opportunity for a Medical Secretarie to join our friendly team at Ivetsey Bank Hospital, you will provide a full medical secretarial service to the Consultant-led Multi-Disciplinary Team, assisting them in achieving their objectives, organise their workload and to liaise with all relevant and appropriate services
Ivetsey Bank Hospital is a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) hospital for young people aged 12-18. We specialise in supporting young people with severe or complex mental health conditions who need intensive inpatient treatment. We are dedicated to providing caring, supportive, recovery-focused treatment and we achieve this by working together with our young people, their families and other professionals. Our facilities include, Ofsted registered on-site school, High intensity suite, Occupational therapy kitchen, Gym, Outdoor sports area, including a basketball court, Three cabins for therapy, keep fit and a multi-faith cabin.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Take receipt of all correspondence, ensuring that the appropriate action is taken
- Manage and co-ordinate electronic diaries
- Act as the focal point of contact and be responsible for the dissemination of information, messages and enquiries, liaising with multi-disciplinary team members, other Health Professionals and Staff, GPs, Social Workers, Service Users, Carers, and any other appropriate external agencies
- Audio transcription and text processing of complex clinical letters, reports, case summaries and other correspondence as ensuring a high degree of accuracy in medical terminology and clinical details
- Entering patient data on the patient registration system on behalf of the team in a timely manner
- Be responsible for preparing and ensuring that care records and all necessary paperwork is available
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, members of the multi-disciplinary care team and senior professional and managerial staff
