The opportunity
The Strategic Initiatives & Operations department is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our Operations team as a Member Services Administration Analyst. Our analysts are empowered, knowledgeable, highly skilled and champion innovation, constant learning and service excellence.
The successful candidate will embrace a continuous improvement mindset while possessing strong mathematical and analytical skills in order to review, interpret and complete complex pension processes.
Who you’ll work with
The Member Services Administration Analyst plays a vital role within the Member Services division. The team is highly collaborative, skilled and motivated and provides exemplary service on a variety of key processes. In this role you will work as an individual contributor responsible for supporting and liaising with internal business partners and stakeholders across the division. This team reports directly to an Operations Manager.
What you’ll do

Execute Member Services process and administration activities (including but not limited to Quality Assurance, Employer Experience, Member Experience, Finance, Actuarial Services)

  • Following self-learning and co-mentoring support from peers, the Analyst will be assigned to complete specific, targeted workflow and non-workflow processes or activities.
  • Assigned work to be carried out in an autonomous fashion, maintaining high quality outputs, good judgement, risk awareness, and attention to detail.
  • Task assignments will be pre-determined by Member Services Operations Management and are rotational in nature.

Identify, analyze and implement process improvement ideas & initiatives.

  • Analyze task assignments with intent to improve operational efficiencies by providing solutions on reducing non-value-added process steps.
  • Document process improvement ideas/initiatives in central repository.

What you’ll need

  • 2+ years of Data Administration experience
  • 2-5 years of industry experience in pension administration roles, preferred
  • Resourceful and quick learner passionate about delivering superior service
  • Client-focused, motivated, proactive, forward-thinking, detail-oriented, organized and respectful
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines, work items and projects efficiently
  • Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strategic mindset and logical approach to problem-solving
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically, make informed decisions and plan effectively
  • High degree of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Commitment to high quality work through consistency and accuracy
  • Thorough understanding of Pension Administration, Dashboarding and Office applications (e.g. CRM systems, Power BI, Microsoft Office suite, Teams, etc.)
  • Proficient understanding of the Teachers’ Pension Act (TPA), board policies/procedures and other relevant legislation
