Description:

Mental health care assistants are essential in helping patients through difficult chapters of their lives, providing trust and being trusted, you will be an integral part of a patients journey, giving hope and support.
An opportunity has arisen for Health Care Assistant (band 3) to join the Mental Health Crisis Intervention Service providing crisis and acute care in the community to individuals in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. The role is based over the crisis and home treatment elements of the service.
We are seeking individuals who are motivated and enthusiastic about delivering crisis and acute mental health care in these challenging times.
You will be carrying out assigned tasks involving direct care in support of and supervised by a registered clinician and participate in the development and implementation of high quality care.
You will be working under the supervision of senior staff members to provide the best possible care to patients.
Having a flexible approach to mental health care will enable you to establish the best possible ways to care for individuals experiencing mental health difficulties.
You will be working strictly in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols to promote positive mental/physical/nutritional health with patients.
You will implement clinical tasks in care packages/care plans, document observations and actions as directed by a registered healthcare professional.
You will participate with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in providing a programme of care and to change the patients recovery.
You will receive direct supervision and partake in reflective practice and training on a regular basis.
