JOB OVERVIEW

We are delighted to be recruiting a Mental Health Professional to join our Central Norfolk Eating Disorders Service. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative service line, which is currently operating with no waiting lists and has an incredibly skilled multi-disciplinary team; offering NICE concordant treatment in a timely manner in line with national access targets.
We are looking for a professional with either a Nursing, Social Work or Occupational Therapy qualification – who will provide mental health assessment and intervention to the people we support. As you can see from the mission of our service this role is about building relationships, inspiring others, and working as part of a vibrant and skilled team to support recovery for those who access our service.

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB

In our service we support young people with diagnosable Eating Disorders. We have enthusiastic and skilled staff who provide the support that is needed – we are a team of practitioners who are motivated to make a real difference to young people, their families and carers.
Whilst experience working with children and young people would make you perfectly suited to this role, we are really open to welcoming people from clinical backgrounds who have experience in other areas of mental health. We understand that you will be able to bring with you a wealth of skills and experience to the team and would welcome fresh ways of thinking.
In this role you will be responsible for assessing the mental health of young people, and collaborating with them to plan their recovery. Going forwards this could involve providing family therapy or CBT informed interventions to the young people and their families.
Staff well-being is integral part of our service line and there are lots of opportunities for CPD development, specialist training and supervision and support from experienced colleagues.
