Role: Mental Health Support Worker
Salary: £13 per hour
Location: Bognor Regis
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday 37.5 no weekends or Bank Holidays)

United Response is looking for an empathetic and compassionate individual to join our Mental Health Support Service in Bognor Regis as a Support Worker. United Response is a proud member of the West Sussex Pathfinder Alliance that is made up of 10 organisations that all aim to provide Support and sign posting for individuals with mental health needs.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Given the challenging nature of this service, you should have at least one years’ experience of supporting individuals with mental health needs. It is vital that you are an empathetic individual with a friendly manner who understands the courage that it often requires for someone to contact our service. In order to ensure assessments are completed as accurately as possible you should be able to use your initiative and have the ability to ask follow-up questions when appropriate. As United Response works as part of a larger team of organisations you should have good written, IT and verbal communication skills to help you work alongside our Pathfinder partners.

Responsibilities:

WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?

As a Support Worker with the Mental Health Service, you would be responsible for:

  • Carrying out initial face-to-face assessments to identify support need
  • Delivering Groups and workshops
  • Providing support to open access drop in`s at various locations
  • Signposting advice
  • Offering structured low level mental health support
  • Undertake regular training
  • Working with clinical partners
  • Liaising with other organisations
  • Managing a caseload
