REQUIREMENTS

  • College diploma in a related field;
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Experience in retail an asset;
  • Essential bilingualism (The person must support the store accross Canada);
  • Thoroughness, analytical skills and sense of priorities;
  • Team spirit, proactive and shows initiative.

Responsibilities:

The incumbent of this position is responsible for maintaining and analyzing sales and inventory databases in order to make adequate planning with the aim of optimizing profitability and minimizing losses. The Merchandise Allocation Analyst must work closely with buyers and Planning.

Description of tasks

  • Prepare a weekly action plan setting out the priorities of the week for their product category and share it with the purchasing and planning department;
  • Carry out the complete allocation cycle (1- allocation, 2- balancing, 3- stock flow), for maximum productivity;
  • Carry out and coordinate analyzes of the season, more specifically regionally, by store, in order to have more detailed information regarding the performance of products in its category;
  • Review the classification of stores during the season in order to prepare the distribution strategy for the corresponding season of the following year;
  • Receive and track merchandise in its product category with the distribution center to ensure shipment of merchandise to the store on time;
  • Evaluate replenishment needs based on current actual sales, on a weekly basis;
  • Manage the distribution center’s omni-channel merchandise reserves to ensure continuous supply for all company channels, in a timely manner;
  • Ensure the coordination of the shipment of goods in relation to the various promotions and posters in the windows according to the marketing calendar;
  • Carry out analyzes of the season and each of the promotions in the calendar in order to evaluate their performance and make related recommendations;
  • Ensure the management of basic styles by assigning minimums and maximums and revising them each season;
  • Review the inventory level of the basic styles in trio (Allocation-Purchase-Planning)
  • Carry out inter-store consolidations to maximize the sales potential of styles;
  • Analyze store capacity according to product category;
  • Carry out sales analyzes by size for the different types of product each season in order to create the curve book for purchases;
  • Maintain the goods receipt tracking file for its category up to date;
  • Contribute to maintaining administrative efficiency by ensuring that all reports are classified and organized;
  • Prepare materials and information for meetings or other events;
  • Ensure maximum collaboration, communication and support to the sales team, distribution center, marketing, planning, e-commerce and purchasing;
  • Participate in the establishment and coordination of special projects, promotions and store openings/closures;
  • Visit stores and distribution center on a regular basis.
