Description:

This is a unique opportunity to join Pas Normal Studios’ journey towards inspiring and motivating dedicated cyclists around the world. In this role, you will have the opportunity to put your mark on the future of Pas Normal Studios. If this sounds like something for you, we would love to hear from you.
Merchandising manager
Pas Normal Studios is seeking a strategic-minded Merchandising Manager to join our newly established Merchandising team. The ideal candidate has a background in merchandising and/or product management, with strong stakeholder management skills and a keen eye for detail. Reporting to the Director of Strategy & Operations, the Merchandising Manager will play a critical role in enabling both operational and commercial success for the next chapter in our global growth journey.
Your main objectives
As our Merchandising Manager, you will collaborate closely with all Department leads (Product, Sales, Marketing, Regions) to ensure an effective merchandising process. As such, you will play a very central role in the development of Pas Normal Studios - right in the intersection of operational and commercial activities.

Besides this, your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop collection and category strategy in accordance with our strategic objectives, in close alignment with Strategy Director, Creative Director and CEO.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, sales, and marketing, to develop and execute strategic range planning that aligns with brand identity, customer preferences, and market trends.
  • Lead the Gate Stage meeting process to ensure timely execution of collection and range planning from a commercial perspective, including financial planning, inventory management, and overall gross profits.
  • Oversee forecasting and demand planning function, including demand assessments through wholesale pre-sale and D2C sell-through to meet commercial targets.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate product availability while minimizing stockouts and overstocking.
  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies to optimize promotions, pricing, and third-party sales channels.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify unmet customer needs and emerging market trends.
  • Develop product briefs that align with strategic, commercial, and brand targets for each new product development.
  • Definition of SKU-level target costing to ensure price and margin alignment with Production, and implementation of price adjustments for D2C and wholesale channels.
  • Construction and maintenance of ‘collection tools’ (collection plans, pricing database, design codes) to communicate and monitor the collections’ structure and performance.

You: The ideal candidate has a natural ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
You thrive navigating the challenging landscape of Merchandising - from strategic discussions to detailed analytics. You are dedicated to continuously improving and innovating how things get done. You possess a strong understanding of the many ways that merchandising brings value to various stakeholders- and the organization at large.

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, merchandising, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • +5 years of experience in merchandising, product management, or related field.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and executing strategic range planning, inventory management, and merchandising strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (Business Central and PowerBI/PowerQuery is a plus)

In addition, you should be a skilled communicator and change agent with an open mind as you will be working with multiple stakeholders across the organization. You should thrive in a flexible scale-up environment. An excellent command of English is a must.
Finally, you are a team player who enjoys supporting the Pas Normal organization to learn and develop. You possess a healthy dose of ambition to learn and develop, too.
For this role, you must be based within daily commute distance to our HQ in Copenhagen.
