Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Merchant Services Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of merchant/payments processing experience.
  • 1+ years of banking industry experience
  • 1 + years of business-to-business sales experience
  • Direct sourcing and prospecting new clients experience
  • Experience meeting or exceeding sales goals with respect to products and/or services.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment.
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas.

Responsibilities:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Merchant Services Sales Consultant for the WFMS Relationship Banking Sales Team of Consumer Lending. This role will participate in selling merchant products and services to complex diverse customers in a virtual environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in selling merchant products and services to complex diverse customers.
  • Support the sales channel within an assigned territory partnering with lines of business.
  • Review basic issues, policies, or procedures.
  • Provide payment processing solutions to business clients.
  • Provide software solutions, standalone terminals, Ecommerce solutions, and mobile solutions.
  • Prospect new opportunities.
  • Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise within policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with managers, colleagues, and stakeholders, including internal or external customers.
