For our plant in Malmedy, Belgium, we are looking for a Methods Engineer (permanent contract).

SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES

  • Support plant modernization projects
  • Manage and plan automation and industrial IT projects
  • Study technical solutions from the needs analysis to the final proposal
  • Study and analyze existing processes and production data’s
  • Carry out measurements and ensure the implementation of new processes
  • Carry out risk assessments
  • Develop your knowledge so as to position yourself as an expert in your specialist field and in the technologies used
  • Use your specialist knowledge to support the maintenance team in dealing with complex problems
  • Monitor and ensure the reliability of existing or new installations (with regard to interruptions, costs, etc.)
  • Working closely with various departments and liaising with them on an ongoing basis
  • Keeping track of technical documentation
  • Manage external contractors’ projects
  • Provide back-up for technical purchases
  • Assist with the implementation of the CMMS and the STELLA program (plant computerization)

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

  • Civil or industrial engineering degree
  • Significant experience in automation is essential
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Objective-oriented work methodology with a methodical, structured approach aimed at continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in the use of software deployed for automated equipment (PLC, microcontroller, etc.)
  • Knowledge of and compliance with quality/environmental/safety procedures relating to the position
  • Knowledge of both French and English
  • Knowledge of ABB systems is a plus

WORKING HOURS

  • Full-time during the day
  • 37-hour week
