Metrology Technician

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

• Experience in interpretation of the technical drawings, geometrical dimensions and tolerances
• Good communication and relationship skills.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

• Ensuring that all quality critical equipment is entered in the Metrology Database and that Database is updated for each equipment.
• Responding to the requests of extension when it comes to calibration due dates.
• Making analysis of Certificates issued by laboratories outside Emerson.
• Advising the owners of the equipment if they find equipment with results outside the specifications.
• Planning calibrations with the external laboratories.
• Performing the calibration of the machines according to work instructions, specifications.
• Ensuring that the measurement references (standards) of the Metrology Laboratory used are calibrated according to the plan.
• Supporting the process owner – Manufacturing or Quality Engineer in analyzing the results of the calibration certificates.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

• Technical g raduate of high school or college or similar (preferably electric, electromechanical)
• Minimal experience in the technical field in a similar position (electrical field, mechanical, electro, or electrical maintenance).
• Knowledge of technical drawing
• Proficient in English, Microsoft Office
