Description:
We invite suitable qualified candidates to apply for the Metrology Technician position in Kariega.
To Conduct dimensional measurement of vehicle components to ensure conformity to drawing and dimensional specification.
QUALIFICATIONS:
National Diploma/Degree: Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics
EXPERIENCE:
- Have a minimum of 5 years Metrology measuring experience (Tactile or Optical).
- Have a minimum of 5 years measuring software experience (PC-Dmis, GOM, Polyworks).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct dimensional measurement of vehicle components to ensure conformity to drawing specification.
- Conduct detailed measurement and analysis to aid part approval process of Internal and External supplier parts.
- Provide dimensional analysis and problem-solving ability to successfully resolve production concerns and improve the overall product quality.
- Conduct dimensional approval of vehicle components to ensure the successful release of components at the correct quality levels at relevant PEP milestones.
- Provide support to external supplier base to ensure correct Dimensional Metrology methods and principes are applied to ISO/VDA requirements.
