QUALIFICATIONS

  • National Diploma in Biotechnology or equivalent
  • B.Tech in Biotechnology is an advantage
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a SANAS/ISO 9001 accredited microbiology lab
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Fast learner with strong multitasking ability and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
  • Good work ethic, critical thinking, and technical competency in microbiological techniques
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both independently and in a team setting
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the laboratory while assisting with quality control testing and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Your attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and technical competency will contribute to our commitment to excellence.

  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the designated laboratory area, following cleaning schedules, 5S principles, and good laboratory practices
  • Conduct routine and ad-hoc quality control (QC) testing, record and analyze test results in protocols and on the SAP system, and report non-conformances to the QC Manager
  • Release AI batches to Production and Supply Chain on a weekly basis, conduct daily release of Production results, and generate Certificates of Analysis (CoA) within agreed timeframes
  • Replenish stock in all laboratory areas, perform daily manual temperature monitoring, and sign-off on disinfection log-sheets
  • Support RC and ISO 9001 requirements and audits, participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Incident Investigations, and internal audits for ISO 9001 and RC
  • Collaborate effectively with the QC lab staff, demonstrating good interpersonal and communication skills, and participate in Lean 6 Sigma improvement efforts
  • Conduct water, air, and surface testing as required, maintain the lab stock sheet for chemicals and consumables, and demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks
