Conduct both simple and complex routine laboratory testing of raw materials, in process products, finished dose products, stability samples, environmental samples, water samples and calibration of equipment while maintaining a high standard of Good Laboratory Practice. Exercise scientific judgment and rationale to conduct investigations using techniques and methods which adhere to the standard operating procedures.
We are currently offering a $2,000 stay bonus to successfully placed candidates.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Analysis of raw materials and products to ensure compliance with microbiological specifications
Test factory hygiene, including air, water, fixtures and equipment
Analyse purified water and feed water samples to ensure compliance with microbiological and chemical specifications
Perform calibration and maintenance of equipment as required
Conduct investigations and microbiological risk assessments using sound scientific principles
Preparation of microbiological media
Validation of test methods
Support and encourage continuous improvement initiatives for the benefit of the Quality department and the wider business
Ensure activities comply with GMP, legal and ethical standards
Job Requirements:
Tertiary qualifications in Biological Science, preferably microbiology
Previous experience in pharmaceutical GMP environment desirable but not essential
Proven ability to work under minimal supervision
Ability to build rapport, establish and maintain relationships with peers and business contacts
High level of written and verbal communication with experience writing reports
Ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines and targets with competing and conflicting priorities
Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures
