Description:
Our client is a reputed trading group with large presence in the Middle-East in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar.
The company is looking for a Senior Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI) Developer for their office in Abu Dhabi. The key responsibilities involve building Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing solutions for the group companies.
KEY SKILLS
- 5+ years’ experience working on Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI) tools viz. SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Analytics Services (SSAS)
- Hands on experience in ETL tools SSIS, Ab initio, Data Stage, Data Mirror, Informatica & Prism and OLAP Cognos, Business Objects, and SSAS Analysis tool
- Good exposure to BCP & DRP projects, OLAP tools viz. Data Stage, Ab initio, Informatica, COGNOS and BO tools.
- Expertise in Configuring Report Server and Scheduling Report Manager
- Thorough understanding of Software Engineering Methodologies.
- Excellent database expertise in MS SQL Server (2005, 2008 R2, 2012).
- Knowledge on Parallel Data Warehouse (PDW) will be a plus.
- Expertise in T-SQL store procedures, functions and complex queries
- Knowledge of WebTrends, the measurement and analytics tool is highly desirable
- Well versed with defining data sources, data source views, dimensions, attributes, attribute relationships, hierarchies, and cubes in an Analysis Services.
- MCSE: Business Intelligence certification will be an advantage
Qualification: BE/BCA/MCA or equivalent qualification

Responsibilities:
- Business requirements analysis, BI technical architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment & production support.
- Communicate with a variety of stakeholders, including business sponsors, client IT/functional managers to deliver optimal solutions
- Build customizable and easily adaptable reporting solutions that leverage re-usable reporting components
- Identify, document and follow industry best practices for enterprise reporting and semantic layer
- Performance Tuning of reports to minimize execution time
- Provide expert consulting in Solution Design for ETL and Data Migration based on expertise.
- Mentoring other team members
