QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining integration solutions using Microsoft Host Integration Server (HIS).
• In-depth understanding of IBM Mainframe systems and their communication protocols (e.g., TN3270, TN3270E, TN5250).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, .NET, and PowerShell.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex integration issues and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external vendors.
• Experience with other integration platforms and technologies (e.g., IBM MQ, WebSphere Message Broker) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate are advantageous.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

We are looking for a skilled Microsoft HIS Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Microsoft HIS Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of integration solutions using Microsoft Host Integration Server Microsoft (HIS). You will collaborate closely with clients, internal teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration between IBM Mainframe systems and external systems, optimizing business processes and enhancing operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and implement integration solutions leveraging Microsoft Host Integration Server (HIS) to facilitate communication between IBM Mainframe systems and external systems.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet their needs.
• Configure and customize Microsoft HIS components such as Host Integration Designer (HID), Transaction Integrator (TI), and Data Integration (DI) to support specific integration scenarios.
• Perform troubleshooting and debugging of integration issues, providing timely resolution and proactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Microsoft HIS configurations to ensure optimal throughput and responsiveness of integrated systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to integrate third-party applications and services with IBM Mainframe systems using Microsoft HIS.
• Document integration solutions, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and enable effective support and maintenance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to integration solutions and Microsoft Host Integration Server.
