Job description

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Approximately 3 to 5 years of experience in a leading law firm and/or as in-house legal counsel within an international context.
  • Dutch law degree.
  • Demonstrated interest in a wide range of legal areas, including proficient drafting and negotiation skills in commercial contracts. Experience in corporate law, competition law, privacy law, and intellectual property rights is a plus.
  • Ability to support the local implementation of global compliance and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) related policies and procedures, as well as adapt global policies to local needs.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and a business-oriented mindset, capable of taking initiative and spearheading projects independently.
  • Fluent in both English and Dutch.
    Experience within the consumer goods and/or pharmaceutical sectors is an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, draft, and negotiate complex agreements pertaining to corporate and commercial legal matters.
  • Provide legal support for corporate, M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions), antitrust, privacy, and intellectual property related matters.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings and disputes as needed.
  • Handle compliance issues related to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and personal data protection.
  • Collaborate with independent external law firms when necessary.
  • Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes in conjunction with the rest of the legal team.
  • Work closely with the Head of International Legal Affairs to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to a culture of respect, transparency, and inclusivity within the legal team and across the organization.
  • Take ownership of work assignments, think innovatively, and challenge the status quo to drive innovation in legal processes and practices.
