Join our Global Real Estate and Facilities Engineering and Technology (E&T) team in Mesa, Arizona, and become a Mid-Level Facilities Electrical Engineer to support the Southwest Region.
You will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with customer requirements, building codes, and regulations. Your expertise in construction principles, practices, and materials will guarantee the safety and stability of our infrastructure systems.

As a Mid-Level Facilities Electrical Engineer, you will develop technical design statements of work, review final designs, and provide rough cost estimates for various projects. Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to safety will ensure that our buildings, equipment installations, utility systems, and grounds meet the highest standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accredited course of study in electrical engineering
- 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)
- 3+ experience using AutoCAD, or similar Computer Aid Design package
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience with building and safety codes
- 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Experience with Revit
- Experience in an engineering, facilities and/or maintenance role in a manufacturing environment
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Responsibilities:
- Leading project teams in developing conceptual designs, final designs, and cost estimates for a variety of structural projects, ensuring the safety and stability of buildings, equipment installations, utility systems, and grounds, including advanced seismic designs
- Reviewing structural and seismic designs to assess compliance with customer requirements, building codes, and regulations, utilizing your knowledge of construction principles, practices, and materials
- Overseeing the accuracy of drawing archives/libraries by reviewing contractor redlines, identifying errors, and documenting construction changes to align with regulatory requirements, facility standards, and record retention policies
- Coordinating the production or procurement of detailed design documents, such as project drawings, specifications, and permit application packages, while adhering to project parameters and utilizing appropriate resources
- Providing recommendations for strategic, short-term, and long-term infrastructure planning, conducting studies, analyzing current conditions and future requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders to identify and assess alternatives for capital improvements
- Interpreting and analyzing regulations, standards, codes, and ordinances to ensure project compliance, ensuring that all necessary guidelines are met
