The Boeing Company is seeking a Mid-Level Health and Safety Specialist to join our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) organization in Fort Greely, AK.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 3+ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
- 3+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing audits
- 1+ years of project management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Experience with ordinance, and government contracts
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience, 9 years’ related work experience, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements and monitors occupational health and safety programs and processes
- Develops and provides training and instructions
- Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations
- Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections
- Plans and conducts health and safety audits
