Help build the best Maintenance Training Devices (MTD) with Government Training Engineering within Boeing Global Services. KC-46 Maintenance Training Systems is seeking a former military aircraft maintainer or avionics specialist to help conduct system design, integration, and test for KC-46 MTDs in Hazelwood, MO. To be considered for this position, a candidate Subject Matter Expert (SME) must have maintenance and/or avionics experience in large aircraft.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of experience with maintenance and/or avionics experience on large aircraft
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically 25% of the time

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 2-years college in any technical field
  • Aircraft maintenance/avionics experience, particularly in KC-135/KC-46 airframes as active duty, guard, reserve, or contractor

TYPICAL EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years’ related work experience, 5 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes and develops solutions to complex technical problems associated with support, analysis and modification of maintenance simulators and data.
  • Develops and tests the application of Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) on maintenance training devices.
  • Assists the lead to resolve programmatic and technical problems affecting cost, schedule, and performance of maintenance trainers.
  • Researches and resolves complex simulator operations issues, service problems and regulatory qualification concerns.
  • Assists the lead to provide customer assistance to support the introduction of new training equipment.
  • Reviews analysis and evaluation of specialized engineering and supplier aircraft systems and performance data, operational documents, and software for delivery to customer.
  • Assists the lead to ensure compliance with customer, company and regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Works under general direction.
