JOB DESCRIPTION:

GliaCell is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

• Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
• U.S. Citizenship.
• 3+ years of Software Engineering experience and a BS Degree in Computer Science (or related) OR 7+ years with no degree.
• Works well independently as well as on a team.
• Strong communication skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Java 11+
• Document-based stores (i.e. MongoDB, OpenSearch, etc.)
• Understands design concepts and pros/cons of storing data in document formats
• Maven/Git

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Python
• AWS Service (i.e. Lambda’s, Step functions, S3, etc.)
• RESTful Service development
• Apache Spark or Apache MapReduce

• Make complex datasets easily accessible and searchable.
• Develop repeatable solutions to ingest, parse, search, and display customer datasets.
• Utilize a MODERN tech stack to produce a responsive user experience.
