Mid or Senior Embedded / IoT Engineer (m/f/d)

rapitag has the vision to make retail safer, faster and more convenient than ever. Founded in 2017, the start-up has uplifted the traditional security tag into a multi-patented, high-tech IoT device enabling retailers for the first time ever to provide safe and fast self-check-out and significant process optimization for high value products.
For this we are looking for a Mid or Senior Embedded / IoT Engineer (m/f/d) for our Munich office as soon as possible.

Tasks

• Collaborating with the team on software design decisions.
• Developing new features and fixing bugs in our embedded software platform.
• Work on C and Rust codebase. Optional also the Python-based customer SDKs.
• Development on different hardware platforms: Noridc (MCU), Renesas (MCU), ESP32 (MCU), RaspberryPi 4.
• Ensuring a high level of quality in the product, through automated and manual testing and gathering telemetry.
• Contributing to team meetings so that we continue to get better.

Requirements

• A curious mind with a passion for continuous learning.
• 5 years of experience with one of C, C++ or Rust. (Python is a big bonus).
• Fundamental knowledge of the Linux Operating System.
• Basic understanding of the Bluetooth Low Energy stack as a Bonus.
• Automated testing experience.
• Interested in electronics. (Show us your hobby projects)
