OVERVIEW:
We are one of Australia’s largest gaming companies in Melbourne and we are looking for a super switched on Mid-Level QA member to join our QA team. If you’re looking to take the next steps in your career of Quality Assurance, and give your seal of approval to all our games then look no further!
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working in a Quality Assurance role.
- Familiarity with a range of different game engines such as Unity, Unreal ect.
- Experience working with project management software such as Monday.com, Confluence, JIRA & Trello.
- The ability to determine priority and manage time effectively in an ever-changing environment across multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team while being able to get the job done without the need for day-to-day direction.
- An understanding of current mobile / console games and the industry as a whole.
- A strong understanding of the game development pipeline.
- A good understanding of what it takes to support and manage live-service games and SaaS products.
- Conduct strategy audits to identify further opportunities to improve the way we do things.
- Think laterally and have a strong understanding of games, how they work and the systems and design behind them.
Responsibilities:
- Taking ownership of the quality control for all of PlaySide titles and being a voice for overall quality within the studio.
- Conduct ongoing testing of all current and future releases. Ranging from User Acceptance Testing to Beta & A/B Testing.
- Tracking overall project health and reporting it into the QA Lead & Producers.
- Triaging and maintaining defect lists while looking ahead with the release schedule in mind and assessing what is acceptable for launch.
- Develop thorough test documentation and test cases to be used by all members of the PlaySide team during playtests and submission testing.
- Work closely with Project teams and establish testing requirements in response to new features, releases and client-needs.
- Researching current testing guidelines and processes within both the first-party platforms and the industry as a whole.
- Assisting with mentoring and training Junior QA Members and using your expertise to help them grow!
