Due to continued growth, our Nuclear Services Group is seeking an Electrical Analysis Engineer for our Kennesaw, GA (HQ) location or potentially other locations depending on the level of experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university
  • Mid Level requires 3+ years of experience
  • Senior Level requires 7+ years of experience
  • Prior power system design experience a plus
  • Experience in electrical codes, standards and criteria for power systems
  • Experience in Electrical Transient Application Program (ETAP), SKM, EMTP-RV, PSCAD a plus
  • Ability to effectively present and draw conclusions from large data sets
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
  • Advanced proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Good writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Directs and oversees routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintains quality standards of all assigned projects

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings; ENERCON and client specific background checks; and an annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client policies.

Responsibilities:

  • In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a diverse and innovative team to evaluate power systems using numerous types of electrical analyses.
  • Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria, using independent judgment in performing calculations and designs
  • Perform assignments, which have clear and specific technical objectives and have some degree of complexity
  • Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and be able to coordinate and interface with other disciplines including mechanical and civil/structural engineers
  • Participate in reviewing and checking calculations, studies/evaluations, designs, drawings and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors
  • Prepare design studies, project scopes and engineering estimates
  • Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight
  • Devise new approaches to technical problems. Broad knowledge of precedents and operating experience in the industry
  • Travel and participate in various roles for client site visits field installation, checkout, and start-up
