Description:

We are looking for a senior midwife to serve as the primary source of expert and high-quality professional advice from a midwifery perspective, to support and facilitate joint work across maternity and early years in Camden.
As the maternity and early years liaison midwife, you will work in partnership with the family hubs and start for life delivery leads, ensuring there is a collaborative approach to developing a smooth transition from maternity services to early years services, further strengthening early intervention and prevention.
You will lead on co production, exploring ways to further develop this area of work, with the start for life co-design strategy, ensuring families’ experiences are central to influencing service development across maternity and early years.

The postholder will work with maternity representatives from UCLH and The Royal Free hospital to ensure that there is a shared focus held by all partners on the following objectives:

  • Promoting optimal health during pregnancies
  • Reducing Inequalities
  • Supporting Positive Mental Health for Parents, Carers and Infants
  • Building a positive parent-child relationship from early pregnancy
  • Ensuring that children have a safe and nurturing home environment
