QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Ontario (433A) Industrial Mechanic Millwright is a must
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing facility
  • Strong foundation of fabrication, machine maintenance, hydraulic/pneumatics, mechanical expertise, electrical basics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with innovative thinking and independence
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritizing in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow production drawings, build summaries and assembly instruction sheets or receives

verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed

  • Work closely with other departments with respect to design, build and trouble-shooting

of prototype machines

  • Use cutting tolls, equipment, hand and power tolls to accomplish assembly tasks
  • Use a variety of measuring instruments and devices as well as material handling devices
  • Plan and layout assembly sequence and procedures for specified parts
  • Assemble components and subassemblies
  • Practice proper mechanical assembly procedures
  • Visually inspect parts for obvious defects, damage, cracks, burrs or missing features
  • Report all machining or design errors and improper part files to supervisor so that the

problems can be addressed

  • Maintain good work habits and demonstrate good work ethic
  • Perform other duties or temporary jobs as may be assigned due to changing workloads
