Description:

We are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Shotfirer, responsible for ensuring drill and blast activities are conducted in a safe and cost-efficient manner at Railton Mine.
Reporting to the Mine Services Coordinator, this position is the designated shotfirer and would be responsible for preparing and firing all shots at the site.

Responsibilities:

As a shotfirer you will be responsible for:

  • Demonstrating behaviours that aligns with Cement Australia values
  • Complying with Zero Harm principles daily
  • Meeting daily operational targets
  • Performing all duties as directed by the Blast Supervisory Team
  • Operating machinery in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ensuring all associated equipment is maintained in a safe condition
  • Ensuring Drill & Blast patterns are kept to a high standard
  • Using techniques and procedures that improve performance and cost efficiencies
