Description:
Join our dynamic team as a Mineralogic and Quality Testing Specialist, where your passion for quality and exceptional coordinating skills will shine. Cementir Holding’s Group Research and Quality Competence Centre, based at RQC in Aalborg Portland, is on the lookout for a dedicated professional to lead mineralogic activities at an international laboratory.
As the Mineralogic and Quality Testing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high standard of ongoing activities related to cement chemistry and mineralogy in building materials. Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will collaborate with a well-established and result-oriented team of 13 colleagues.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing mineralogical methods, focusing on XRD, SEM, and petrographic microscopy for raw materials, clinker, cement, and concrete.
- Participating in cross-organizational tasks and projects, primarily with a focus on mineralogy.
- Promoting awareness of RQC’s capabilities in mineralogical methods.
- Managing practical quality tasks related to mineralogy.
- Performing characterizations of raw materials, raw meal, and clinker for all plants of Cementir Holding.
- Handling customer complaints and claims with a focus on mineralogical aspects.
- Managing and assisting in ad hoc assignments.
- Maintaining XRD, SEM, microscopes, and possibly other instruments.
- Conducting benchmarking activities to compare performance internally and with competitors’ products.
We are seeking an individual with meticulous attention to detail and a comprehensive technical understanding. You should be detail-oriented, ensuring the high quality of all deliverables, and possess the ability to develop and express new ideas with a proactive mindset in planning and initiating tasks. Resilience in navigating complex tasks and understanding results in context, along with the ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively, are essential.
Requirements:
- Relevant Master’s degree or equivalent, such as material science or geology.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Technical writing proficiency.
- Excellent written and oral communication and documentation skills.
- Professional level of English, both oral and written.
- Knowledge regarding cement production or concrete technology is an advantage but not a requirement.
