We are now seeking a Mining Engineer to join our Underground Mining team based at the Tropicana Gold Mine.
Accountable to the Alternate Underground Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining an adequate supply of broken ore stocks by producing drill designs and blast plans.
This is a permanent FIFO role 8 days /6 off with direct flights from either Perth or Kalgoorlie.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Be an active safety leader in line with the company values, policies and procedures
• Collaborate with contracting partners to ensure compliance to the mining plan
• Complete stope drill designs, charge plans and reconciliations in line with the business requirements
• Ensure production excellence by participating in QAQC activities for blasting
• Complete slot raising designs, remote plans and void management plans in line with site procedures
• Show active field leadership through regular underground inspections
• Provide mentorship for graduates
• Take lead in business objectives and projects
• Ensure the health and safety of underground workers through detailed and accurate technical plans in line with the WHS Act and Regulations.
