Mining Engineer - Dozer Push

As a Mining Engineer you’ll ensure delivery of executable dozer push and draglines plans are delivered in line with the monthly plans and are aligned to the Curragh design and planning process.
Collaboration with key stakeholders (Operations, Drill & Blast, Contracts, Geology/Geotech, and Maintenance) is paramount during the development of these plans and the design process is closely adhered to. This role will manage the contract rehabilitation and top soil commitments.
This is a 5/2 working roster, and Coronado can support paid FIFO to site.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or Civil/Surveying is essential.
• Experience working in open cut coal mining.
• Experienced in working in an Dragline, Excavator, Shovel Engineering, or Surveying Role.
• Previous experience in Vulcan, Deswik, Spry and 3D Dig, MS Office.

• Foster alignment between technical and operational teams across all time horizons.
• Ensure design work follows Curragh Planning Systems and adheres to Mine Planning Design Process.
• Develop weekly plans engaging key stakeholders for accurate mine plans.
• Provide accurate, tailored dozer push designs aligned with operational needs and integrated mine planning.
• Contribute realistic, accurate, and timely design and volume inputs to Monthly Planning for dozer, dragline, and ancillary paths.
• Conduct weekly face position updates and reconciliations during strip progression.
• Trigger dozer push design pit walls assessment for safety in design, collaborating closely with geotechnical engineers.
