Responsibilities:
As the Mining Supervisor, you will manage contractors to ensure the safe delivery of coal into the ROM, whilst maintaining safe and efficient operations of our Coronado operated excavators and electric shovel fleet at Curragh North. This role works a 7/7 roster.
This key role will see you being responsible and accountable for specific operational deliverables and outcomes across HSE, quality, production and cost.
Your role will be interesting and varied and will include:-
- Actively leading a safe and healthy working environment through compliance to the SHMS;
- Overseeing and ensuring the operation’s impact on the environment is managed in accordance with the Curragh EMS.
- Monitoring, reviewing and managing all responsibilities as identified under the Curragh Mine SHMS, while supporting contractors in holding their relevant teams and stakeholders to account, managing and reporting on their equivalent responsibilities as specified in the contracts.
- Improving safety performance by reducing injuries and improving safety culture;
- Managing critical risks and closing out events within designated timeframes;
- Maximising coking coal product by accurate coal ply recovery;
- Reducing overall operational disruption and improving coal quality management
- Ensuring compliance with Operating Schedule
- Contributing and Leading the mine planning process.
- Managing all relevant contracts to ensure the objectives of the business is achieved.
