ABOUT THE POSITION

Terra Mining are currently seeking an experienced Mining Production Supervisor for our Binduli project in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. Working as part of our diverse, dynamic, and driven production team, your role is responsible for helping us optimise efficiency from every shift, while ensuring the highest standards of safe operations are maintained.

The Supervisors day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to being:

  • Responsible for all aspects of mine production including Operations scheduling, mine planning and coordinating company’s personnel, equipment and resources to achieve the company’s set targets and schedules.
  • Leading the day-to-day supervision of the mine production in accordance with Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022.
  • Overseeing shift process and providing appropriate instruction to designated team members to ensure safe and smooth shift operations.
  • Ensuring adherence to all aspects of safety issues, particularly regarding mining equipment, raising any concerns with the Mining Superintendent/ Project Manager.
  • Managing workloads and allocating duties across the production team to deliver the mine plan deliverables and ensuring all targets are safely met.
  • Creating a positive team culture centered on the Company’s Values.
  • Participating in ongoing process improvement.
  • Recording findings of inspections and other operations activities.

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a Supervisor role leading a medium to large team in open-cut mine operations.
  • Completion of the training courses on the following is desirable:

BSBWHS411–Implement & monitor WHS policy, procedures & programs

BSBWHS414–Contribute to WHS risk management

  • Demonstrated ability to work safely within a team environment
  • Demonstrated team management and leadership ability
  • High level of communication, organisational and planning skills
  • Current C Class drivers’ licence (HR licence preferred, but not essential)
  • Be able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical including drug and alcohol testing
  • Must have the right to work in Australia
  • Current National Police Clearance, issued within the last twelve months
  • Ability to undertake all safety paperwork and processes
  • Two recent, relevant referees
