For our client, the European Space Agency, we are looking for an experienced engineer to support the delivery of Mixed Reality 5G / 6G solutions ; solutions in development that will run over different platforms. You could have the chance to be part of the design and implentation of mixed reality interfaces including VR/AR/XR as well as industrial metaverse applications for 5G / 6G technology ! This brand new service will be deployed on-site, from our client’s premises, ECSAT, in Harwell (United Kingdom).

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge and practical experience in developing mixed reality applications.
  • Proficiency in software tools including Visual Studio, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Quest Developer, Blender, Unity, and Unreal Engine.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, C++, Python, Bash, and Netcode.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and organize tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

The scope of work will include:

  • Develop mixed reality applications for 5G/6G technology, including coding in various programming languages for XR/VR applications development.
  • Support, monitor, and assess the need and commercial potential for future satellite-integrated mixed reality applications, network solutions, and devices.
  • Participate in 5G/6G Hub demonstrations and activities, contributing to discussions on standardization, integration of satellite into terrestrial telecommunication systems, and the development of future 5G/6G Hubs.
  • Utilize tools such as Visual Studio, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Quest Developer, Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine, CuBase, MRTK, and programming languages including C#, C++, Python, Bash, and Netcode for application development.
  • Support development activities of XR/VR/AR tools for other ARTES Hubs.
  • Assist on-site visitors to the 5G/6G Hub at ECSAT.
  • Support ambassadorship activities of the 5G/6G organization and hubs.
