REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely-related field, with a focus on mixed-signal IC design (preferred), or an M.S. in Electrical Engineering coupled with extensive experience in mixed-signal IC design is mandatory.
- Solid hands-on experience in designing and developing high-speed (> 5 GSa/s, 8+ bits) analog-to-digital (ADC) converters in advanced CMOS (28nm and smaller) technologies, encompassing architectural and transistor-level expertise.
- Proven track record in ADC chip turn-on, test, debug, and performance documentation.
- Proficiency in designing a variety of high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits in advanced CMOS technologies, spanning schematic design to physical layout.
- Experience with various mixed-signal building blocks and integrated systems, such as PLLs, DACs, Serializers, or wideband amplifiers.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities within a team environment, with strong skills in technical leadership, documentation, and presentation.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills, essential for thriving in dynamic team environments and collaborating cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex problems and driving to root cause, coupled with a highly self-motivated approach to meeting aggressive product development schedules and world-class manufacturing expectations.

- Demonstrated experience in applying Analog and Digital Signal Processing in data converter systems to enhance linearity, accuracy, and performance.
- Expertise in high-speed digital-to-analog (DAC) and high-rate (>28 Gbps) SERDES circuits, including CDRs, AFE, and DFE.
- Strong background in device modeling, thermal design, and IC package design.
- Deep understanding of semiconductor technologies and devices, enabling innovative design approaches to push circuit boundaries.
- Knowledge of signal integrity and electromagnetic issues.
- Proficiency in mixed-mode simulation of analog and digital blocks, including behavioral modeling of analog circuits, utilizing tools like Verilog or Verilog A for simulation.
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages to facilitate automation in IC design, simulation, and testing.
- Experience with synthesized digital design flows, utilizing RTL descriptions to deliver verified netlists for physical synthesis.
Responsibilities:
You will assume a leadership role within the Mixed-Signal ASIC Design team, overseeing the development of custom ASIC data converter solutions for GHz applications. As the technical lead, your responsibilities will include implementing core ADC and DAC structures, designing streaming I/O data paths, and conducting measurements and emulations of communication transceiver ASICs. Our ASIC projects leverage both CMOS and BiCMOS technologies, aiming to pioneer the next generation of high-performance mixed-signal ASICs. These advancements will grant Keysight’s test and measurement products a competitive edge in terms of performance and cost-effectiveness, facilitating the characterization and generation of cutting-edge high-speed signals such as RF communication and serial link waveforms.
