Description:

The successful candidate will complete a structured development programme leading to NVQ Level 3 Manufacturing Engineering and a Higher National Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering through Northern Regional College Ballymena. This is a 4 year programme.
Reporting to the Day Lead Technician, the successful candidate will be trained extensively in fully automated production equipment including: Electrical and Mechanical practices, Pneumatics, PLC control and Robotics.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Trained extensively in fully automated production equipment including Electrical and Mechanical practices, Pneumatics, PLC Control and Robotics.
- To eventually provide technical support to Manufacturing and ensure the optimum performance of equipment and technical issues.
- Trained in providing breakdown and preventative maintenance.
- Contribute to the overall team/departmental strategy.
- Keep abreast of the latest innovations and developments.
- At all times, ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements.
- Participate in the day-to-day activities of the team and work effectively as a team member to ensure continuous improvement.
- Meet performance measures and KPI’s set for you and your team.
- Communicate in a timely and effective manner with members of your team and other parts of the business.
- Participate in training opportunities.
Essential
- 4 GCSE’s Grade C’s including Maths and English and at least one Science Subject
Desirable
BTEC Level 3 in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
Typical Skills Required:
Applicant must be able to demonstrate Electrical/ Electronic knowledge/ interest in basic Mechanical skills.
- Strong Communication and Organization skills
- Ability to show a genuine interest in learning and development.
