we want to provide our community with the advice, inspiration, hot data insights and know-how to make their share house shine as well as helping our members find their next home or their next flatmate to move in. Shared accommodation is the collection of different demographics, people, homes, relationships, building styles, suburbs and pre-loved furniture that all can be found behind the front door of a share house.

What the role is all about

  • Designing, coding, testing, deploying, and maintaining high quality mobile application that meet the needs of our users.
  • Keeping our production application stable and healthy.
  • Performing code reviews.
  • Providing technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced members of the team.
  • Contributing to technical design & discussions.
  • Engaging with the wider native mobile community across the organisation, identifying opportunities to share and learn.
  • An appreciation of software engineering principles and a can-do attitude with an ability to own problems and see things through.

Who we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in building Android apps using Kotlin. (Swift is a plus)
  • Demonstrated experience with Declarative UI on Android using JetPack + Compose
  • A passion for Android and an intrigue in iOS
  • Sound knowledge of software design patterns and best practices for software development
  • Demonstrated experience using common testing practices
  • Demonstrated understanding of common mobile application architectures
  • Active contribution to technical decision-making process
  • Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens
