ABOUT THE COMPANY
A large state government agency based in Parramatta CBD.
About the Role
This position sits within the Digital Portfolio Team that is currently undergoing a large scale digital transformation.
Currently working 2 days in the Parramatta office and 3 days from home.
Responsibilities
- Craft, develop, and maintain bespoke software solutions.
- Develop applications for both Android and Apple’s iOS operating systems.
- Analyze requirements and propose optimal solutions.
- Create new features and user interfaces based on wireframe models.
- Design APIs to enhance mobile functionality and user performance.
- Ensure optimal performance and user experience of applications.
- Address bugs and performance issues promptly.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive end-to-end understanding of mobile app development processes.
- Demonstrated experience (minimum 3 years) as a Mobile App Developer
- Track record of successful mobile app releases on app stores.
- Java, Objective-C, and iOS SDK.
- RESTful APIs, JSON, and mobile networking libraries.
- Strong grasp of architectural patterns—MVP, MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Android or iOS
- Git version control.
- Experience in profiling and debugging mobile applications.
- Ability to contribute across design, testing, release, and application support.
- Proficiency in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing.
- Knowledge of UX and User Centric Design principles.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Formal IT qualifications are highly regarded
