ABOUT THE COMPANY

A large state government agency based in Parramatta CBD.
About the Role
This position sits within the Digital Portfolio Team that is currently undergoing a large scale digital transformation.
Currently working 2 days in the Parramatta office and 3 days from home.

Responsibilities

  • Craft, develop, and maintain bespoke software solutions.
  • Develop applications for both Android and Apple’s iOS operating systems.
  • Analyze requirements and propose optimal solutions.
  • Create new features and user interfaces based on wireframe models.
  • Design APIs to enhance mobile functionality and user performance.
  • Ensure optimal performance and user experience of applications.
  • Address bugs and performance issues promptly.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Extensive end-to-end understanding of mobile app development processes.
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 3 years) as a Mobile App Developer
  • Track record of successful mobile app releases on app stores.
  • Java, Objective-C, and iOS SDK.
  • RESTful APIs, JSON, and mobile networking libraries.
  • Strong grasp of architectural patterns—MVP, MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of Android or iOS
  • Git version control.
  • Experience in profiling and debugging mobile applications.
  • Ability to contribute across design, testing, release, and application support.
  • Proficiency in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
  • Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing.
  • Knowledge of UX and User Centric Design principles.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Formal IT qualifications are highly regarded
