Continental’s eCommerce, Fleet Solutions, and Data Science Information Technology Competence Center creates a wide range of digital solutions for Continental’s customers and internal stakeholders – and we want you to join us!

As a Mobile App developer (m/f/diverse), you will work in a SCRUM team closely with other mobile app developers, backend developers, solutions architects, and data engineers to build and enhance our existing and future digital services within Continental Tires. With this job, you join the global team working on our product ContiConnect, a digital tire monitoring platform for commercial fleets around the world.

In this job, you work on the following tasks:

• Developing, testing, and iterating on our mobile Apps while ensuring quality through applying agile software engineering principles
• Refactoring existing code and write tests in a modern Flutter application
• Conceptualizing new functionalities for the existing mobile applications
• You are taking part in all stages of the product development process while working in a SCRUM team
• Collaborating with the hardware development team for state-of-the-art IoT solutions
• Developing proof of concepts (PoCs) for future mobile applications
• Working with our backend team to define the endpoints specifications
• Working with UI/UX designer to optimize the UI/UX of our mobile applications by following modern design languages (e.g., Material design)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Academic degree in computer science or similar field of studies or comparable qualification
• Several years of work experience with mobile application development
• Thorough knowledge of native Android and/or native iOS development
• General knowledge of Flutter or another cross-platform framework is beneficial
• Preferable experience with microservices architectures and container/ orchestrator technologies like Cloud technologies (Azure), Jenkins build pipeline, and Git is beneficial
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• A general understanding of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) on Android/iOS platform is beneficial
• Experience in IT projects, requirement definition, and review
• Business fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
• Teamplayer mentality
• Good communication skills, conveying content to technical and non-technical stakeholders
