    Job title: Modeling and Simulation Engineer
    Location: Wright-Patterson, OH
    Job Summary: Zel Technologies is looking for skilled, creative, and knowledgeable modeling and simulation professionals with expertise in software development to analyze state of the art weapons systems. Candidates will be providing scientific and technical intelligence supporting USAF, DoD, and National level intelligence efforts to develop software and air-launched missile models to evaluate new and emerging weapons systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must have an active Top-Secret/SCI clearance.
  • 3-7 Years experience in research/development of parametric level models (guidance, propulsion, seeker, etc).
  • Experience creating digital aerodynamic models.
  • Deep understanding with using MATLAB/Simulink, and World Simulation Framework.
  • Expertise and experience with component-based architectures.
  • Expertise and experience using native models, plugins, extensions, command syntax, and scripting in an AFSIM context.
  • Expertise and experience with Application, Scenario, and Simulations.
  • Experience with other mission-level simulation frameworks.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience working with classification handling and marking protocols.
  • Ability to assess the accuracy and effectiveness of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Must possess and exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess and exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Successful background and drug screening check.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics and 8 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience performing scientific and technical analysis along with M&S operation and maintenance support for air launched threat weapon systems.

  • Develop a highly tunable rapid performance weapons model to validate performance of air-launched missile models.
  • Develop a process and software tool to optimize and look up parameters of developed air-launched missile models.
  • Optimize algorithms to include performance, guidance, propulsion, seeker models of new and emerging weapon systems.
