Description:

Position Summary:
The Modernization Manager manages and oversee the inquiries, work scope, proposals, and projects for the Modernization business. The incumbent will provide technical support and marketing strategy for Customer Service Sales Team to identify opportunities for Modernization business. Ensures the Aftermarket Sales Organization is efficiently and effectively executing designed sales strategy across the installed base. Responsible to meet or exceed defined targets for order intake and ensure projects close‐out at the target group profit margins.

Work You’ll Do:

  • Represent Coperion in the capacity of Service Representative providing assistance and advice to customers and/or assigned personnel.
  • Routinely monitor project costs and schedules.
  • Actively promote Modernization business in the marketplace.
  • Respond to technical and/or production related issues and determine a plan to eliminate and/or mitigate impact to project.
  • Train and support Modernization Project Manager and Regional Sales Managers in estimating Project Costs and execution of projects.
  • Maintain the project schedule list of inquiries, and open projects with status reporting.
  • Support the Customer Service staff with technical expertise as related to the business.
  • Monitor competitor offerings and adjust our business to the market.
  • Align strategy and approach with other Coperion business centers.
  • Forecast necessary parts to ensure customers projects meet the market expectations.
  • Monitor and implement process and/or workflow changes to ensure a satisfied customer experience through product delivery.
  • Find Market opportunities and lever sales network to capture potentials.
  • Monitor and ensure profitability of projects from kick‐off through close‐out.

Team:
Overview of team this role will be a part of Aftermarket Sales and Service.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in engineering, service, or industry sales experience.
  • Strong people and exceptional organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal) are required.
  • The ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering reports, drawings, office procedures, and instruction manuals is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing SAP and QAD experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Rotating Equipment.

Travel: 30%
