Seeking an experienced Monitoring Engineer to operate across two teams within a Federal Government Department

YOUR NEW ROLE

In your role you will be joining the Enterprise Monitoring team across both project and BAU functions within the Digital Services Division. Your new division is responsible for the management of Information and Communications Technology (ICt) functions and activities across Australia and overseas for the department. The division provides a secure, modern ICT environment so that the department can conduct its business 24/7 and focus on achieving departmental outcomes. As the Monitoring Engineer, you will be responsible for enhancing the departments’ monitoring capability across business systems and services so that potential system issues can be identified and resolved earlier, reducing service disruption for exporters, importers, and other business critical functions.

The duties performed in this role include, but are not limited to:

• Development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.
• Configuration and management of existing monitoring tools in SCOM, OEM, Azure Monitor, AppDynamics and Splunk ITSI.
• Implementation and integration of new monitoring toolsets.
• Documenting and running changes (start to finish) under the ITIL framework.
• Support and refinement of monitoring tools through consultation with business.
