Responsibilities:

ROLE AND LOCATION

The MEL Senior Coordinator is responsible for coordinating implementation of the NCP MEL Framework and MEL Plan which sets out annual activities linked to the program annual work plan. These documents are developed with reference to the Program Logic and Head Contract requirements, advice and guidance provided by the MEL Advisor, as well as internal objectives set by the Director, NCP Administrative and Support Services and MEL Advisor.

The MEL Framework and MEL Plan has been designed to:

  • Generate and develop insights regarding the extent to which the planned outcomes of the NCP are being realised;
  • Provide the basis for effective decision-making regarding operations and continuous improvement, and;
  • Collate results to articulate a ‘whole of NCP story’ for stakeholders with an interest in the ongoing support of a high-quality program.
  • Consideration will be given to candidates based in Brisbane, Canberra or Adelaide.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The MEL Senior Coordinator will:

  • Deliver the required NCP MEL functional services effectively and efficiently;
  • Ensure that the schedule of MEL requirements as outlined in the MEL Plan (2024-25) is completed on time and to standard;
  • Implement a range of data collections as outlined in the MEL Plan, which may include surveys, interviews, and focus groups;
  • Analyse, report and present on data through multiple and appropriate data collection approaches;
  • Provide MEL content for required ad hoc and monthly, and quarterly, reports, as well as discussion papers and presentations;
  • Lead on the coordination and preparation of the Annual Program Report, working with the MEL Advisor and MASS Program Leads;
  • Support design and delivery of program reflection sessions based on MEL data and program results, both internally and with the client;
  • Inform and advise the Advisor MEL and Director on progress on issues relating to MEL implementation and delivery as planned;
  • Track the collection of data as it relates to required reporting of progress against planned outputs and outcomes;
  • Ensure information and data provided and presented is accurate, timely and provided in agreed formats;
  • Incorporate lessons learned to continuously improve on MEL delivery;
  • Highlight and incorporate cross-cutting issues such as gender and disability into all MEL activities and reporting;
  • Contribute to the development of MEL understanding capacity across the NCP Administrative and Support Services Team;
  • Attend and inform NCP Administrative and Support Services Team, DFAT and stakeholder meetings as required, and;
  • Advise the Advisor MEL and Director, NCP Administrative and Support Services of any emergent concerns and opportunities.

The MEL Senior Coordinator will contribute to the realisation of the strategic goals of the NCP Administrative and Support Services program which are to deliver:

  • A consistent, seamless, and high-quality experience for all existing and new NCP students, university partners and Alumni;
  • A reduction in red tape for all stakeholders;
  • Simpler, streamlined and more effective administration architecture;
  • Value for money, and;
  • A strong Australian Government brand.
