Our client is seeking a Mortgage Broker to join their dynamic team in Melbourne. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary group of wealth managers, financial advisers and mortgage brokers, providing bespoke services to high-net-worth individuals and small to medium-sized businesses. This role is ideal for an existing Mortgage Broker or an experienced residential lender looking to step into broking.
As a Mortgage Broker, you will play a pivotal role in servicing and growing a book of clients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing the complete process of mortgage applications, from lead generation to deal closure. You’ll build strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners. Your ability to maintain strong client relationships will be key to meeting their expectations promptly. Furthermore, you’ll ensure all client information is managed correctly according to compliance guidelines while identifying their needs across various financial sectors.

KEY EXPERIENCE:

• A Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking Management is preferred
• At least 2 to 3 years of experience in residential lending or as a mortgage broker
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
• Experience working with commercial and private banking clients
• Knowledge of current market trends and the changing lending landscape

• Manage the end-to-end process of mortgage applications, including lead and pipeline management, lodgment of applications, and tracking & managing deals
• Build strong working relationships with management and referral partners, providing regular reporting
• Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client expectations are met in a timely manner
• Maintain robust working relationships with lender contacts, including BDMs, private and commercial bankers, and our aggregator
• Ensure client information is managed and stored correctly following compliance guidelines
