WHAT EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

  • 3+ years experience in general claims management
  • Stakeholder management experience in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the development of board papers and reporting.
  • Strong analytical ability and presentation skills.Well developed and demonstrated understanding of the legislative, regulatory and compliance obligations to operate in the FSR environment

Responsibilities:

This role includes ensuring plans are up to date, tested, and resources (people, process, systems and data) are known and in good working order to enable deployment.

  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain up to date documentation of all business continuity plans and related procedures
  • Generate reports on risk assessments, incident responses and performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with reporting requirements set by regulatory bodies of insurance industry reporting
  • Maintain up to date registers to enable deployment in an event: eg: special needs if there is loss of site and personnel can’t work from home, event deployment ready staff
  • Risk assessment and analysis
  • Identify potential risks as input into planning responses
  • Collaborate with teams to conduct risk assessments
  • Crisis Management.
  • Participate in crisis management teams during actual incidents
  • Co-ordinate and undertake response efforts including communication, resource planning and deployment activities, accommodation bookings, equipment sourcing etc
  • Maintain a state of readiness for immediate response to critical incidents
  • Training and Awareness
  • Develop a BCP test plan and con-ordinate and conduct regular tests
  • Raise awareness of the importance of business continuity and disaster recovery measures
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct and analyse post incident reviews for areas of improvement
  • Update business continuity plans and strategies based on lessons learned
  • Stay informed about emerging risks and trends in motor insurance industry.
  • Regulatory and Compliance
  • Stay current with regulatory requirements and ensure response arrangements have regard to obligations. Eg Code of Practice, OH&S
  • Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Maintain open lines of communication with all stakeholders
  • Provide updates and reports on the status of BCP efforts as needed
  • Collaborate cross functionally to ensure alignment
