It’s an impressive machine but it only works as well as the person running it. An MRI procedure is successful when the MRI technologist can appropriately screen patients, pleasantly prepare them for the exam, and competently handle the hands-on care needed. Even with all the technology in the world, good health care comes down to the person administering care.Do you have experience working in radiology and with MRI procedures? Are you good at working with patients and putting them at ease? Can you accurately follow procedures? If so, we have a special place to put your skills to work.WHAT YOU WILL DO - Collaborate on patient medical issues with the physician to determine protocol and procedure. - Complete all MIR exams and procedures, obtaining optimal images for physician review according to policy and protocol. - Obtain and record patient identification, medical history, or test results. - Obtain and review all history of ferrous implants and other possible contraindication for scanning in a magnetic field. - Perform venous punctures using universal precautions while administering contrast media. - Practice established safety guidelines and use mire safety tools and techniques. - Assume responsibility for self-development. - Clean, maintain, and restock examination and inventory rooms. WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED - Adapt and respond quickly to changing priorities. - Effectively communicate verbally and in writing. - Emergency Response and Preparedness. - Knowledge of Imaging Procedures. - Learn quickly and through multiple channels. - Maintain composure, even in very difficult situations. - Prioritize and delegate tasks. - Scheduling procedures. - Show sincere interest in others and their concerns. - Work independently with minimal supervision. Qualifications - Preferred Associate’s Degree - Preferred Certificate - 1 year MRI Experience Preferred - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MR) - . ARRT, ARRT-MR, or ARMIT - Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
