Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Commodity Manager to join our dynamic and innovative team located in Gliwice, Poland.
As a Global Commodity Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing supplier relationships and developing global strategies across specific commodities to achieve the best value for Tenneco.
You will facilitate global cross-functional commodity teams to implement strategies and will also provide guidance to commodity buyers located in different locations and regions working in the related commodities.
Your expertise will contribute directly to our company’s success in delivering high-quality products to our customers while maintaining cost-efficiency and supply chain resilience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive global commodity strategies aligned with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, performance, Innovations, and financial stability to ensure reliable and sustainable partnerships.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and operations, to ensure that the commodity strategies meet the technical, operational, and quality requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize costs, enhance supplier performance, and streamline procurement processes to meet the annual targets.
  • Monitor market trends, global supply chain dynamics, and geopolitical factors affecting the automotive industry to proactively manage risks and opportunities.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible value while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Manage supplier relationships and lead supplier performance reviews to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement supplier diversification strategies to enhance supply chain ESG & resilience.
  • Participate in the development and execution of sourcing strategies for new product introductions and engineering changes.
  • Contribute to the development of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
