Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 7 team lead & clinical specialist Physiotherapist to join our South Powys Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy team.
You will have the opportunity to work with the Musculoskeletal Consultant Physiotherapist, Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists, Orthopaedic Consultants, GPs and other health professions working in the MSK pathway across South Powys.
As a team lead and clinical specialist Physiotherapist we are looking for a dynamic individual with proven leadership experience. This duel role will include team lead duties as well a carrying a more complex MSK caseload. Leadership or advanced practice training opportunities will be available for the right candidate.
You need to be innovative and motivated to be part of the MSK transformation within Powys and want to work within an enthusiastic team where the priority is to provide high quality musculoskeletal assessment and rehabilitation to Powys residents.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Line management of the South Powys MSK Physiotherapy team, including managing ESR, expenses, appraisals and performance management of staff, as required.
Liaising with Head of Physiotherapy, service improvement manager and admin team lead to support waiting list management.
Work as an autonomous practitioner managing a MSK caseload, including more complex cases as required.
Work collaboratively with other professions e.g. GPs, Consultants, Nurses and other AHPs to provide expert patient centred musculoskeletal care.
Provide training, education, supervision and appraisal for staff and students.
Contribute to the development of professional practice and the transformation and evaluation of service delivery.
Support the research and innovation agenda through participating in research and development activity.
Lead aspects of service evaluation with an emphasis on value-based care and audit.
Work in partnership with service users and staff to achieve improved health outcomes for service users and develop clinical pathways.
