As a leader within the Packaging & Technology business unit, part of our Clinical Supply Chain organization, you will play a key role in revolutionizing our manufacturing processes and driving digital transformation in our manufacturing plant.
In this role, you will work closely within the Manufacturing Science & Technology (MST) team to identify, evaluate, and develop automation technologies, methods, and solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in improving process efficiency, enhancing product understanding, and optimizing our manufacturing platform to deliver world-class products. By increasing the digital maturity of our P&T manufacturing plant, you will enable seamless integration, standardization, and automation of processes, ensuring flawless operations and data availability.
As an Automation & Manufacturing Data Principal Engineer, you will collaborate with various teams, such as P&T Operations, Digital Solutions, JJT, and CSC Innovation & Strategy, to successfully implement a long-term strategic advanced technology plan. By developing new automation capabilities, you will enable us to continue delivering our innovative portfolio of products and stay ahead of the competition.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in automation technology evaluation and implementation
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and data management
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across diverse teams
  • Project management skills
  • Expertise on system integration and digitalization concepts
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken. Dutch is an additional asset

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the technical direction, alignment, design and completion of projects and initiatives and the application of technical platforms for diverse device assembly, packaging & labelling automation activities
  • Develop expertise knowledge in the automation processes and equipment established in P&T and act as a subject matter expert in case of troubleshooting, as well as developing improvements
  • Identify and deploy digitalization and system integration concepts to improve the digital maturity of the P&T business unit, moving from manual, paper-based and/or isolated processes to higher levels of automation.
  • Perform process analysis, calculate high level business cases to assess automation potential projects, design internal and assess external vendor solutions, and capture user requirements to drive automation and manufacturing data projects
  • Enable the readiness of piloted technologies and drive the implementation into our portfolio. Define a strategy to adopt these innovative approaches and enable interactions with quality groups and health authorities
