Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term or seconded 12-month Band 4 Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) -coordinator for the maternal medicine centre at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals (Preston).
You will support the lead obstetrician for the Maternal Medicine Centre (MMC) at the Royal Preston Hospital, which is one of 3 within the Northwest Maternal Medicine Network (MMN). The purpose of the MMC is to enable collaborative work between obstetricians/obstetric physicians and midwives to provide clinical leadership and improve the care of women who are pregnant and have acute or chronic medical conditions.
You will be responsible for the coordination and facilitation of the weekly Lancashire and South Cumbria Maternal Medicine MDT hosted by Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, ensuring all meetings run effectively and are well structured, following the appropriate governance structure.

You will be responsible for the coordination and facilitation of the weekly Lancashire and South Cumbria Maternal Medicine MDT hosted by Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, ensuring all meetings run effectively and are well structured, following the appropriate governance structure.

Responsibilities:

providing administrative support to the multi-disciplinary team meetings for the Maternal Medicine Centre (MMC) for Lancashire and South Cumbria, by preparing and maintaining all related documentation and information.
being the point of contact for referring units and coordinate attendance at the MDT meeting, as required.
ensuring that service users are discussed according to evidence-based protocols and are in line with the MDT operational policies.
ensuring plans and multi-disciplinary team decisions are recorded onto designated proformas, updated on the relevant digital systems, and feedback is provided to the referring Trusts where necessary.
input outcomes data into the local digital systems in a timely manner during the MDT or immediately after the MDT, ensuring data accuracy.

Prepare and collate all the required documentation, including medical notes, required to support each meeting.
Attend the MMC MDT meetings, keeping comprehensive records of attendance and outcomes of the meeting, and distributing to relevant team members.
Ensure timely and accurate input of the outcomes of the MDT meetings to required parties.
Ensure that following the meeting all actions recommended by the team are followed up and that a record of the actions proposed has been filed in medical systems / records.
Facilitate the use of Teams/remote dial in as required by attendees to the MDT meetings, ensuring MDT cover during periods of annual leave.
Be responsible for and ensure that any appropriate follow-up actions from MDT meetings are carried out as identified by clinical teams
Ensure that administrative and clerical functions are carried out to the highest quality standards and in a timely manner.
Identify to the Specialist Midwife any areas of concern regarding the systems that allows the MDT to function effectively.
Undertake general administration support within the service, as required
